We look for graduates from a wide range of science, engineering, technology and business disciplines to join us. The bulk of graduates join in September but vacancies do also occur throughout the year for new roles.
You’ll start working with a team, according to your discipline, as soon as you join us. We discuss with you where you might best fit as part of the selection process. One of the great things about working as a graduate in QinetiQ is the sheer diversity of projects you could be working on.
Your induction is planned by current graduates and supported by a Performance and Development Manager (PDM). Your PDM will help plan your project work and discuss your individual development options. You will also have a mentor to encourage your professional development.
In your first 2 years as a QinetiQ graduate, and afterwards of course, you’ll have the opportunity to work on some amazing projects with world-class people around you to learn from. You’ll tend to stay within 1 of the 3 business sectors but within those sectors there is support to widen or deepen your experience.

QinetiQ Graduates with a Bachelors start on £23,000 and those with a Masters start on £24,000. Your pay increases will be subject to satisfactory performance.
