Duane’s biography
Duane Andrews was appointed Chief Executive Officer of QinetiQ North America in June 2006.
Prior to joining QinetiQ, Duane was Chief Operating Officer at Science Applications International Corporation, the Fortune 500 research and engineering company. After graduating from college, he spent eleven years in the Air Force which he left to join the newly formed House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. He went on to work as Assistant Secretary of Defense, Command Control Communications and Intelligence in the Pentagon before joining SAIC in 1993.
Duane graduated from the University of Florida and has a masters degree in Management and Supervision from Central Michigan University. He has served on various U.S. national security advisory groups. He was the recipient of the Defense Department’s Medal for Distinguished Public Service, the National Intelligence Distinguished Service Medal and the Bronze Star. In 1999, he received the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association’s David Sarnoff Award.
