Garrett’s biography

Garrett Martz was appointed Chief Operating Officer for Westar Aerospace & Defense Group Inc in February 2007. Westar is a member of the QinetiQ North America family of companies, developing innovative technology solutions to meet the challenges of national defense, homeland security and information access. He is responsible for the operational management of the company, executing complex projects and satisfying Westar's customers. Garrett’s vision is for Westar to become the industry’s leading lifecycle solutions provider for high-end systems engineering technologies, solutions and services.

Garret joined Westar in 2003 as a result of the acquisition of ELMCO Inc where he was the President and Chief Executive Officer. Prior to ELMCO, he was a Project Engineer at TRW.

Garrett holds a Batchelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Auburn University and a masters degree in Electrical Engineering from the Southeastern Institute of Technology.
