Stephen’s biography

Appointed in 2002 as the Group Director of Human Resources, Stephen Luckhurst is responsible for delivering and sustaining great people in an engaging environment which enables them to do their best work. Since the company’s privatisation, he has overhauled the human resources infrastructure including the introduction of a new employment structure, performance related pay, a comprehensive suite of staff equity schemes in the UK and US, introduced flexible benefits, restructured the final salary pension scheme and has introduced a comprehensive talent management programme.

Stephen joined QinetiQ in 1998. Before this he was Director of Personnel for the Naval Bases and Supply, a Ministry of Defence agency.

Stephen is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, a member of the CBI Employment Policy Committee, Chair of the Surrey and North East Hants Industrial Mission and a school governor.
