Tom’s biography

Tom Weston was appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of QinetiQ North America in January 2006. In this role, Tom has the responsibility for the company’s finance and accounting activities, its mergers and acquisitions programme, and all of the company’s banking and treasury efforts. In addition, Tom has oversight of the company’s internal audit, corporation tax and insurance departments.

Prior to his current position at QinetiQ North America, Tom served as Chief Financial Officer of Apogen Technologies Inc where Tom led the sale of Apogen to QinetiQ North America in September 2005.

Tom joined Apogen from federal IT services company BTG Inc where he held the position of Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Tom has nearly 20 years’ experience in the finance and accounting field. In his earlier career, he was employed in the public accounting industry for KPMG LLP, where he was Senior Manager in the assurance services practice.

Tom is a certified public accountant and graduated from James Madison University, Virginia, USA. He is a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants.
