About INTEGRAMplus

About INTEGRAMplus
QinetiQ leads the INTEGRAMplus programme which is a European Commission supported initiative providing companies with easier access to flexible design and prototyping services. It also offers a proven route to volume manufacture of novel products based on integrated microsystems.
*

The aim of INTEGRAMplus is to lower access barriers to integrated Micro-Nano Technology solutions by providing a portfolio of standardised multi-domain and multi-technology modules and prototyping platforms.

The application of microsystem products in emerging markets such as biomedical and healthcare, environmental monitoring (security and pollution) and communications ( RF and optical) requires increasingly complex levels of integration of functions (fluidic, optical, mechanical, electrical, bio, etc).

*
About INTEGRAMplus No single material technology (silicon, polymer, glass, etc) system can provide all these in a cost-effective way. For example, silicon is very attractive for its ability to provide very high liquid dispensing accuracy in microfluidics and is also the material of choice for integration with drive and signal processing electronics for intelligent sensors. However, other functions such as fluidic handling, interfacing and environmental packaging require hybridisation with other lower cost materials such as polymers.
*

INTEGRAMplus has been set up to stimulate the take up of integrated components and systems. Through the INTEGRAMplus consortium you can access the tried and tested expertise of a wide range of European companies with world-leading capabilities in micro and nano technologies.

Wherever you are in the product lifecycle, from conceptual design to
volume production, INTEGRAMplus can provide support and an accelerated route to market whilst minimising risk and cost.

Customer Care and Confidentiality

The INTEGRAMplus office which is run by QinetiQ ensures confidentiality by adhering to our Customer Care Process. Non-Disclosure Agreements will be signed and information exchanged only with the partners assigned to work on the customer project.

If you are an end-user without micro-nano technology (MNT) expertise and would like to develop new functions and products, or improve existing products through miniaturisation, we can guide you through the complete product development supply chain from concept, through design and feasibility studies, to prototyping and manufacture. You can access the expertise of the INTEGRAMplus partners at any stage of this development chain.

If you are familiar with MNT technology and/or have your own designs, we can provide a low-risk low cost-of-entry prototyping service based on standardised processes, components and toolkits. Consultancy to access the available prototyping services with design and simulation assistance can be provided if necessary. Design for Manufacture concepts ensure that prototypes can be transferred to volume products if required.
