QinetiQ has an extensive compound semiconductor device processing capability, enabling us to offer very flexible fabrication from one off prototyping through to small-scale production.
We can cater for customers who need custom device fabrication, either because the quantities are too small to put through a production facility, or where the devices are needed for wafer assessment.
We are at the leading edge of device fabrication technology. When combined with our device modelling, epitaxial growth and device assessment capabilities, we have a unique capability to enable customers to produce devices to stringent specifications.
QinetiQ has a large, modern Class J clean room for III-V and II-VI device fabrication, with Class E lithography and clean hoods. We rely on a high degree of flexibility and customer feedback to ensure that all types of devices meet the needs of our customers. We offer wafer scale processing of up to 3" wafers, and sub µm e-beam lithography.
We can also design and model devices and circuits using our extensive modelling capabilities. We offer drift-diffusion, energy balance and Monte-Carlo modelling of electrical devices, with custom in-house models.
