Our sweating manikin is the sole continuous-operation system in the UK suitable for investigating the water vapour permeability properties of complete clothing ensembles. When used in conjunction with our thermal manikins, it is possible to determine objective and comparative measures of the clothing permeability index of a variety of clothing ensembles, an important factor determining clothing comfort.
