It uses a unique set of software, hardware and simulation tools to create a physical representation of complex systems rapidly and cost effectively. Thus, rapid prototyping allows for testing, evaluation, confirmation or refinement of a proposal or concept before commitment to full scale development and manufacture. End users can therefore define and evaluate their requirements at an early stage in the development lifecycle. Applications include:
