Watchkeeper Image Reference Library

As part of the Watchkeeper Unmanned Air Vehicle programme, and working for Thales who is the prime contractor for Watchkeeper, QinetiQ has developed an Image Reference Library that will form part of the Mission Management System (MMS).

Watchkeeper This QinetiQ product provides a means of locating and retrieving information from a number of disparate and distributed data sources. The system stores image metadata, and supports the retrieval of image data collected by the Watchkeeper system. It is compliant with the NATO Standard Image Library Interface, which enables interoperability with other systems and it can easily be integrated into other imagery collection systems.

This work built upon research prototypes developed in the late 1990s for MoD, and which was the basis for the UK contributions to the NATO standards definition process.
