Appliqué Robotic Kit (ARK)
An appliqué kit designed to provide fully integrated, safe and secure tele-operation of existing plant vehicles with minimum modification to the host plant vehicle.
The ARK system comprises of a portable Operator Command Unit, vehicle mounted control modules, feedback interface and an electro-hydraulic system. Due to it modular design, ARK is available for any plant vehicle with minor modifications.
ARK enables the operator to either operate the vehicle manually inside the cab or at a ‘flick of a switch’ change to remote operation. ARK provides up to 1km non-line of sight remote operation utilising COFDM digital radio for increased clarity and picture quality. The unique encryption key system ensures that the system cannot be interfered with or hijacked.
The safety circuit is rated to safety integrity level 2 which ensure operator safety. The ergonomic command unit is the size of a briefcase and uses sunlight readable screen for optimum display clarity.
