Broadway lighting systems for robotic vehicles

BROADWAY is a robust bolt-on enhanced lighting system for Robotic EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) or Bomb Disposal Vehicles. The system fits the TALON 3B/MTRS and ANDROS F6A/RONS. Broadway uses LED technology with IR (Infra Red) capability for shock resistant and high efficiency covert IR and White lighting.

BROADWAY was developed for Robotic EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) or Bomb Disposal Vehicles in order to offer an enhanced vehicle lighting capability. BROADWAY uses LED technology to provide both High Intensity Infra Red (IR) - for covert operations – and pure white light for enhanced colour definition and improved lighting efficiency. It is rugged and has been tested for the shock, vibration and extreme temperatures of the user environment.

Broadway fitted to Talon 3B The BROADWAY unit is supplied with a fitment kit to suit specified Robotic Vehicles – kits are currently available for Foster-Miller’s TALON 3B and MTRS platforms plus Remotec’s ANDROS RONS and F6A – and can easily be adapted to suit additional applications due to the intelligent lighting control scheme.

The IR light used for the BROADWAY System is invisible to the human eye yet allows the Vehicle operator to view video in black and white through the Robotic Vehicle’s camera feed. This allows covert night operations. When using white light the BROADWAY System gives the user pure white light for true colour definition (where colour camera feeds are available) with better efficiency than conventional lighting systems. The BROADWAY System can be locked in White Light or IR Modes. An additional Mixing mode is also available where IR or White Light can be selected and mixed remotely without the need for any vehicle upgrades.
