With the increase in terrorism, the ever-present threat of environmental disaster, accidental or intentional damage, it is desirable for architects or owners to determine the vulnerability of their buildings and structures and be able to mitigate their risks.


The QinetiQ software SURVIVE^TM can be utilised to determine whether your buildings or structures have the ability to survive various threat scenarios and still function afterwards. Analysis of these scenarios can identify improvements to your assets. With validation from 15 years worth of trials data gathering and analysis we can help analyse the effect of damage on structures and systems.

SURVIVE^TM is extremely versatile and can model a wide variety of buildings, plants and infrastructure. As well as the physical structure SURVIVE^TM also models the internal systems such as specific pieces of plant equipment, piping, data communications and electrical networks.

SURVIVE^TM also takes account of the personnel distribution. Using this information SURVIVE^TM can estimate the number of casualties, the time to evacuate the building and the extent and development of damage with time.

SURVIVE^TM can quickly process multiple versions of the attack and determine which parts of the building or structure are most vulnerable.
