Secure Messaging from Boldon James

In October 2007, QinetiQ completed the acquisition of Bolden James Holdings Limited. Boldon James is a UK-based provider of software solutions for high-end secure messaging, primarily for military, government and security customers worldwide. In December 2006, the company was named Microsoft’s worldwide ‘Go-to-market partner’ for messaging in defence and homeland security. Its core products complement Microsoft Windows, UNIX and VME messaging platforms.

Boldon James has developed a range of customised off-the-shelf software solutions and provides development services for defence, central government and commercial organisations.

The secure messaging solution set comprises best-of-breed components, the majority of which have been developed in-house, i.e. secure/formal email, chat and gateways. Its flagship offering is SAFEmail – a suite of software functionality that provides the interface and controls required to meet various secure/formal messaging requirements.
Boldon James’ portfolio also includes a number of solutions to enhance the functionality of Microsoft Exchange that enable international interoperability and messaging over challenging network connections.
