DBSy Training HMG Infosec Standard 1 Update

Course Objectives
QinetiQ are offering a one day course on how to use DBSy models and concepts with Part 1 of version 3.0 of HMG Infosec Standard 1 (IS1). The course is designed for those who have already undergone DBSy training or are otherwise familiar with DBSy.

The courses will be led by the QinetiQ staff who supported CESG in adapting DBSy concepts and techniques to create an information security risk assessment method for IS1.

The one day course will cover:

  • Application of IS1 Threat Actor Types to DBSy models
  • Use of Threat Actor Types to scope a risk assessment
  • Relationship between DBSy Models and the IS1 Modelling Technique

Please note that this course assumes that delegates are familiar with DBSy concepts, models and techniques. The existing 'Planning and Documenting Infosec' course is also being revised to cater for the latest HMG standards.
