The QinetiQ Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) team includes a unique combination of Level 2 and Level 3 NDT technicians, metallurgists and engineers. Established in 2005 primarily to service the Australian Defence Force aviation sector, we also support commercial manufacturing and transport industries.
Our employees have diverse industry backgrounds ranging from military NDT through to NDT in support of aircraft composite manufacturing and commercial airline maintenance. We have significant experience in the NDT of ferrous and non-ferrous alloys as well as composite components utilising both manual and automated NDT methodologies. Our employees are certified to AS3669 and have held certifications to most international standards as well as aircraft manufacturer approvals.
In addition, we have accreditation to ISO 9001 and in February 2008, we were approved as an Authorised Engineering Organisation (AEO) for NDT procedure development for all Australian Defence Force aircraft. In doing so we became the sole commercial organisation within Australia to receive this scope of certification for NDT.
