Call for Papers |

The 2008 workshop will focus on systems level aspects of survivability for personnel and platforms, encompassing threats, technologies, integration and optimisation.
Planned themes for the workshop include:
- Emerging threats and operational drivers
- Land systems survivability, including equipments and logistics
- Air Platform Survivability, including combat, transport and rotary wing aircraft and UAVs
- Ship survivability
- Soldier Survivability
- Protection of fixed installations
- Protection of networks and C4I infrastructure
- Survivability modelling
Each of the themes will be addressed by an invited speaker. |

Conference organization The fourth workshop will be hosted by QinetiQ Ltd and will be held in their dedicated conference facility at Malvern. Rooms will be available for the main sessions, the display of posters and for focused workshops.

Submission of Paper The official language is English.

Classification Oral presentations can be classified up to CONFIDENTIAL or equivalent. Posters, abstracts and papers, which will be made available at the workshop, should not be classified. Workshop clearance is mandatory and must be sent at least two weeks prior to the event. |

Paper Selection The papers will be selected by the international committee on the following criteria:
- systems approach
- technological advancement
- opportunities for international cooperation
- operational experience
- inclusion of data and results
Each paper should be intended for a 20 minute oral presentation. Posters can be displayed throughout the workshop in a dedicated display area. ESW2008 will send an acceptance message to the author after the selection process by the international committee. |
