The venue for the 2008 conference is QinetiQ Malvern Technology Centre, one of QinetiQ's core sites. The site largely specialises in communications, sensors and signal processing, lasers and electronics research with supporting laboratories and facilities
Malvern is famous for its hills, some of the oldest in the World (650 million years old). The hills’ beauty inspired Sir Edward Elgar to compose ‘Pomp and Circumstance’ (Land of Hope and Glory). Malvern is also famous for its natural spring water and for the Morgan Motor Company.
Rail: The nearest station to QinetiQ Malvern is Great Malvern. Great Malvern is on the London Paddington to Hereford line. There is also a service from Birmingham New Street via Great Malvern to Hereford.
Road:From the North leave the M5 at junction 7 and follow the signs to Malvern or The Malverns. Initially the road is numbered A4440, and necessitates negotiation of several roundabouts. Then follow A449 signposted to Malvern or The Malverns.
From the South visitors should turn off to take the M50 at junction 8 of the M5. Leave the M50 at junction 1 and follow the signposts.
