The Haldane-Spearman Consortium Charter of Principles

The Haldane-Spearman Consortium will adhere to a common set of principles.

Individually, some members:

1. Understand their responsibilities to each other and the client.
2. Share and support each other as needed.
3. Have confidence in the governance, management and operation of the Consortium.

Our Principles:

• Offer the customer "best of breed" human science research from the marketplace.
• Offer the customer value for money.
• Offer capability to the customer based on a demonstrable expertise and track record irrespective of where these lie.
• Status and responsibility of members is based on substantive capability in a specific domain.
• Risk and reward accepted by members are inextricably linked, as are control and liability.
• Primary customer relationships will be through the prime and the delivery team.
• Exclusive members should have preferred supplier status.
  Offered research capability will be bounded by the members of the consortium.
• Offer the customer transparency of rates based on a common grading structure and a common rate card.
• Right of access of all Consortium teams to information including background/foreground IP relevant to the research task.
