Content QinetiQ will lead this work package.
The TI MPA Definition Study identified a significant number of barriers attributable to a lack of demonstration and confidence building. Demonstration supports the development, refinement, validation and pull through of solutions. Experimentation enables the practical exploration of solutions and can build confidence through bringing the end user closer to the product. The TI MPA requires a means to not only demonstrate technical solutions, but also a means to demonstrate soft solutions such as those deriving from the processes, incentives and relationships themes.
The TI MPA incorporates many work packages that will require a means to mature and demonstrate their solutions to build confidence and enable pull through. The QinetiQ approach will be to assess the needs of the programme and also the stakeholder community, thus enabling the development of a demonstration plan. The study will explore the merits of either a TI MPA owned demonstrator, the use of demonstration opportunities put forward by stakeholders (e.g. opportunities put forward by Tornado IPT or Nimrod MRA4 IPT), or a mixture of these two.
