Aim The aim of this sub work package is to continue to supply stakeholders and the TI MPA with a knowledge base of case studies, spanning both defence and non-defence arenas. The case studies will highlight TI good practice and enable stakeholders to benchmark practice with their own programmes.
Content IPTs have expressed a need for comparative Technology Insertion data and practices in order to benchmark their own practices. The TI MPA also requires case studies and data to validate it's own processes, methods, tools and techniques. The approach is for QinetiQ to continue to build on the knowledge base developed to support the "Impact of TI on Cost Of Ownership" study undertaken as part of the Technology Insertion Precursor Study programme. Several types of case study will be undertaken:
UK Defence/UK Defence (e.g. Jaguar/Tornado Mid-Life Upgrades); UK Defence/Non UK Defence (e.g. MOD/DOD);
Outcome The outcome will be a knowledge base of case studies spanning MOD, Industry and other nations. The knowledge base will provide Technology Insertion best practice, benchmark and TI MPA support data. The deliverable will take the form of a report and will be shared with the stakeholder community through the TI MPA website.
