Pre-Course Training Experience has shown that overseas test pilots and flight test engineer course candidates, who are not familiar with flying in the European theatre, benefit significantly from a short period of United Kingdom (UK) familiarisation flying. This enables the student to become familiar with UK procedures, aircraft, flying philosophy and the use of English in the air before attempting the demanding series of flying courses. The school is also able to offer language and academic training. Although not a compulsory requirement, students not fluent in technical English or who are academically weak may find great difficulty in coping with the Course and we strongly recommend such pre-course training as a way of reducing risk.
