QinetiQ North America wins two NASA contracts worth up to $315m

QinetiQ North America’s Mission Solutions Group has been awarded a contract by Abacus Technology Corporation to support information management and communications activities for the National Aeronautical and Space Administration's (NASA) Kennedy Space Center. The contract will run for up to nine years, with a potential value of $225 million.

QinetiQ North America will provide systems engineering, sustaining engineering, and imaging and timing services as a subcontractor to Abacus Technology. The majority of the work will be performed at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center.

Analex Corporation awarded three-year option, valued at approx $90 million, on NASA expendable launch vehicles integrated support contract

QinetiQ’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Analex Corporation, part of QinetiQ North America’s Mission Solutions Group, has also been awarded a three-year option, valued at approximately $90 million, to continue providing launch support services to the National Aeronautical and Space Administration’s (NASA) launch services programme.

Under this contract, Analex Corporation provides engineering, telemetry, communications, safety and mission assurance and other technical services for NASA’s Atlas, Delta, Pegasus, Taurus and Falcon rockets. The work is performed at NASA's Kennedy Space Center and the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida, Vandenberg Air Force Base in California, and other launch sites and NASA resident offices.

Commenting on the contract extension, Michael G Stolarik, said: "This extension continues Analex’s long partnership with NASA.
