QinetiQ appoints David H Langstaff as independent non-executive director

QinetiQ Group plc, the technology-based services and solutions company, is pleased to announce the appointment of David H. Langstaff as independent non-executive director to the QinetiQ Board with effect from 5 August 2009.

From 1995 until its sale to General Dynamics in August 2003, David Langstaff was President, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Director of Veridian Corporation which delivered national security programmes primarily for the US government. He currently serves on the Board of SRA International Inc. David began his career in corporate finance working in the United States and Europe.

Commenting on the announcement Sir John Chisholm, Chairman of QinetiQ said: "I am very pleased David has agreed to join the QinetiQ Board. His professional services experience, in-depth understanding of the security market and proven finance acumen will be extremely beneficial to the future development of the Group."

Mr Langstaff holds 12,000 ordinary shares in the Company which were acquired in February 2006.

There are no other matters requiring disclosure under LR 9.6.13.
