Q-Net®: using nets to defeat rocket-propelled grenades

Our Q-Net® system takes an innovative approach to protecting a wide range of tactical and lightly armoured vehicles from attack by rocket-propelled grenades (RPGs). Based on nets rather than traditional armour, it is extremely lightweight, versatile and low-cost.

It is also extremely effective. Extensive live fire and laboratory tests demonstrated that its performance matches or exceeds competitor bar armour solutions, and that it provides vehicles with RPG defeat protection from all angles, including overhead. It can also provide vehicles with a multi-hit capability.

Q-Net is anywhere from one-third to one-ninth the weight of bar armour technologies, so it can provide RPG protection for vehicles that cannot support the excessive weight of other technologies. It is also easily adaptable to a variety of platforms.

Another advantage of Q-Net is its patented hook and loop attachment technique for both the net and the frame. This means it can be installed and repaired by the soldier, marine, airman or sailor in the field, and gives combat leaders choices for mission-specific protection.
