World IP Day: E-X-Drive and Q-Shift

The World Intellectual Property Organization leads global celebrations on the 26th April each year, to increase awareness and express the important role intellectual property (IP) plays in encouraging innovation.

The theme for 2020 centres around innovation – and the IP rights supporting it – to create a green future.

In this podcast below, our Principle Engineer Bob Thompson and IP Specialist Alan Wilkinson discuss two of our unique and innovative technologies; the first known as E-X-Drive, an electric tracked vehicle propulsion system, followed by our Q-Shift technology; a high performance low cost gear change mechanism and the importance of QinetiQ’s IP for both of these.
