Global Navigation Satellite System receiver

The QinetiQ Q20 is a high-performance Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) receiver, which is multi-constellation and multi-frequency. Designed to process encrypted signals from the Galileo Public Regulated Service (PRS) and open services such as GPS, it provides highly accurate and resilient dynamic position, navigation and timing (PNT) information for any weapon system.

Highly sensitive and ultra compact, it offers state-of-the-art indoor and outdoor positioning capability, and enables operation in environments where conventional GPS receiver technology cannot function, e.g. urban canyons, under wet foliage, and indoors. The system is in continuous development and its novel architecture enables extremely rapid Time-To-First-Fix in a conventional signal environment, provides rapid signal acquisition, and very low signal strength tracking capability. The QinetiQ baseband processor provides digital interfaces for access to the positioning output and control of the module functions.
