QinetiQ Australia has launched an internship program that gives university students the opportunity to learn from engineers and consultants solving today’s most complex problems for the Australian Defence Force.
Ten high-achieving undergraduates will be selected to do a vocational placement at QinetiQ Australia’s headquarters in South Melbourne for 12 weeks starting in December this year.
Alan Woolford, Chief Executive Officer of QinetiQ Australia, said the internship program is an opportunity for students to apply what they have learned at university, develop their professional expertise and gain exposure to the Defence industry.
“Our people have very dynamic careers, providing independent and trusted advice to Defence customers on a range of projects supporting land, air and naval forces. We will be looking for interns who are creative in solving problems and who want to understand our business and customers,” Mr Woolford said.
Interns will be assigned a mentor throughout the program and have access to the company’s leadership team and senior leaders from across the business for networking and support.
“We are truly a people business. Successful applicants will see first-hand the commitment, professionalism and performance of our people. Our people are committed to passing their valuable skills and knowledge onto the next-generation of Defence employees,” Mr Woolford said.
Applications for the internship program close on 30 April 2014. Visit www.QinetiQ.com.au/careers to apply or for more information email hr@QinetiQ.com.au or phone 1800 038 081.
