QinetiQ welcomed the crew of HMS OARDACIOUS to its Haslar Maritime Technology Park in Gosport last Friday prior to the crew’s departure for the Canary Islands and their month-long row across the Atlantic.

QinetiQ announces that it has entered into an agreement to acquire Manufacturing Techniques Inc. (MTEQ) on a cash-free, debt-free basis for $105 million to be paid in cash on completion and an earn-out of up to $20 million payable in cash and shares dependent on delivering stretching financial targets over three years.
QinetiQ has been awarded a C$51m (c£30m) contract to deliver unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) that will drive enhanced situational awareness for the Canadian Armed Forces. The contract will be delivered from QinetiQ’s state-of-the-art unmanned vehicle manufacturing and operational facilities in Medicine Hat, Alberta.
