Project Safari

Project Safari is a joint programme between QinetiQ and the UK Ministry of Defence (MOD) to make the UK’s sovereign Test and Evaluation enterprise faster, more agile and easier to access for SMEs, defence primes, and companies new to working in defence.

An increasingly complex and rapidly evolving threat environment means we need to assess, prove and deploy emerging technologies at the pace of modern warfare. To support this, Project Safari will connect government, industry, regulators and technology innovators by creating a more agile testing ecosystem, modernising infrastructure and removing unnecessary barriers to improve decision-making and support the UK’s warfighting readiness.

This could include sensors, communications, autonomous technologies and other innovations with defence applications. Our team can help you identify the right facilities and expertise to understand performance refine your design and take the next step towards deployment. Get in touch with our team to discuss your requirements, MOD range access and how we can support you in progressing your capability towards deployment.
