With more than two decades of experience managing research frameworks on behalf of the Ministry of Defence, QinetiQ integrates a diverse supply chain of specialist suppliers and academic partners to deliver science and technology research across the full spectrum of technology readiness levels

For nine years up to March 2026, QinetiQ led the Vivace community of over 400 suppliers, 75% of which are SMEs and academic partners, unlocking their collective strengths through Vivace’s distinctive delivery culture and process. This has been central to enabling the Home Office’s Accelerated Capability Environment (ACE) to successfully deliver over 800 innovation commissions as their delivery partner.

This model has also been adopted by Defence to create the Rapid Innovation Capability through our Engineering Delivery Partner contract and the Aurora partnership.

The Innovation Integrator model is now available to support other organisations across Defence, National Security and wider Government. 

QinetiQ’s capabilities within Innovation Integration Services include:

• A streamlined approach to market integration, providing rapid access to a mature and diverse supplier community of more than 350 organisations.
• Agile, mission‑focused capability development, using user‑centred design and fast‑fail methodologies to accelerate Discovery activity, Prototyping, Proof of Concept (POC), Minimum Viable Product (MVP) development in line with the Government Digital Service (GDS) Alpha, Beta, Live stages.
• Proven agile commercial mechanisms that enable rapid onboarding, flexible contracting and efficient delivery at pace.
