The Long Term Partnering Agreement (LTPA) is a strategic framework contract originally signed in 2003 for 25 years, between QinetiQ and the UK Ministry of Defence (MOD), delivering mission-critical Test, Trials, Training and Evaluation (T3E) services through facilities and ranges across 16 core MOD-owned sites in England, Scotland and Wales. In May 2025, a five-year, £1.54 billion extension to the LTPA was announced through which QinetiQ and the MOD will partner to transform the provision of mission-critical test and evaluation capabilities and services that help to enhance operational readiness of the UK and allied nations.

As well as directly contributing to the UK’s national security, the LTPA also sustains 1,200 highly skilled jobs across the UK.

The T3E services delivered draw upon the breadth of QinetiQ’s team of cross-domain scientists and engineers across the UK.
