QinetiQ is a company of scientists and engineers committed to listening, understanding and responding to our customers' needs. In Australia, we offer engineering and management advice and services across the land, aerospace and maritime sectors.
What we do
We partner with customers to provide unbiased and bespoke engineering and design solutions and support the acquisition and operation of mission critical capability. Our deep and sophisticated engineering expertise is core to our business. We focus on modifying, redesigning, testing and certifying, and extending the life of capability.
Our customers recognise us as a top three supplier through their standardised panel procurement system; we are a Part 21 Subpart-J accredited Military Design Organisation under their Defence Aviation Safety Regulations. With our accreditations we can provide authoritative designs and advice, independent of the original equipment manufacturer, enabling objectivity and efficiency in defence decision-making.Read more
Globally, we have over 6,000 employees who are dedicated to giving our customers the edge.
They are pragmatic and hugely experienced, always looking for enterprising, agile ways to create real benefit and add value. They are also natural collaborators, adept at making vital connections through forging industry partnerships and harnessing the best talents within the supply chain.
It is these qualities, demonstrated every day, that mean QinetiQ can be trusted as a partner to enable, assure and protect our customers' interests.
QinetiQ manages and operates extensive testing and evaluation capabilities for air, land, sea and target systems. We can provide our Australian customers with access to these facilities around the world.
We give our customers a competitive edge through the safe and secure conduct of operational and tactical training exercises that combine both real world and simulated events.
Since 2010 we have operated the Defence Science and Technology Group’s Scientific Engineering Services facility at Fishermans Bend in Melbourne, providing comprehensive design, manufacturing and applied imaging services. We also operate the Mine Warfare Maintenance Facility at HMAS Waterhen on behalf of the Commonwealth's Explosive Material Branch (EMB).
