Looking after your wellbeing
Our success depends on our people, so looking after their health and wellbeing is really important. We offer advice and support including access to our Employee Assistance Programme, which is open 24-hours, 7-days a week. In addition, at many of our locations we have on-site gym and sports facilities and every winter we offer free flu jabs.
After you have completed three months continuous service, you will be entitled to receive payment for periods of absence during any rolling 12 month period calculated from the first day of absence. We encourage our people to have fun together too. Through Cortex you can join your fellow local new starters. Cortex is a community for our new starters. The Cortex committees arrange a series of events and activities across our sites, all of which are designed to help you build your network and have fun.
Inspiring the next generation
As the founding member of the 5% Club, we are part of a nationwide campaign encouraging UK companies to commit to 5% of their workforce being apprentices and graduates.
We also invest time and money to support Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) activities to motivate and inspire the next generation of young scientists and engineers.
