Modern Slavery, forced labour and human trafficking is a global issue, affecting all sectors, industries and territories and represents some of the gravest crimes of human rights abuse in our society.

“We are committed to responsible business conduct, and believe that slavery is not acceptable within our business and our supply chain.”

Modern Slavery is a subject we discuss regularly at QinetiQ, but with an estimated 50 million victims of modern slavery globally, it is as important as ever to continue to grow our due diligence actions and share our practices and knowledge. As part of our support to the principles of the UK Act and in accordance with the modern slavery laws of other geographical territories in which QinetiQ operates, we hosted two supplier awareness briefing sessions this July. Please find below a copy of the slides presented and a recording of one of the sessions, where we talk about:

  • awareness of modern slavery and forced labour
  • legislative updates
  • customer drivers
  • QinetiQ’s update
  • Signposting

We would also like to signpost you to the UK GOV Gangmasters & Labour Abuse Authority Video “Modern Slavery – Do the Right Thing” (7 mins): GLAA Modern Day Slavery
