EDP Digital Engagement Session offers valuable insight
29/09/2023
The Aurora Engineering Partnership, a unique partnership between QinetiQ, AtkinsRéalis and BMT, released the first draft of its Digital Engineering Strategy in August 2023. The strategy sets out the aim to move towards a faster and more collaborative, digitally enabled delivery of Aurora Engineering Services. It describes how the partnership intends to evolve the outputs and services provided to customers through EDP, shifting progressively from paper to data, and what the Aurora Partners are doing to initiate the creation of a digital thread in acquisition and support.
In recognition of this complex area of emerging skills, methods, processes and tools, Aurora engaged with members of the EDP Provider Network for their expertise and knowledge to assist with meeting the objectives of this new strategy.
Representatives from 14 Provider Network companies joined members of the Aurora Engineering Partnership for the QinetiQ-hosted EDP Digital Engagement Forum at DSEI 2023. This allowed us to discuss how the Provider Network can assist Aurora in maturing the Digital Engineering Strategy, and how Aurora enable supplier led digital innovation to our customers.
