QinetiQ Welcomes First Participants to Test & Evaluation Sovereign Skills Program

To support our global defence and security customers with their increasingly complex Test & Evaluation (T&E) projects, QinetiQ has created a structured and bespoke global career development program - Test & Evaluation Sovereign Skills Program. Seeking not only to develop greater T&E expertise in Australia, but also to develop leaders who can coordinate further expansion in these areas domestically, the program is a career-defining opportunity for individuals to expand the horizons of their career in Test & Evaluation.

We are delighted to welcome to the UK this week our first participants from Australia. Here for three months, they will be undertaking experiential learning in the live test and evaluation environments at the world-class Air, Land and Maritime T&E sites run by QinetiQ on behalf of the MOD.

Coached by a number of QinetiQ’s leading T&E Subject Matter Experts, the six participants joining the program will be training as Trials Assurance Leads, Trials Control Officers and T&E Systems Engineers, before returning to Australia to apply what they learned for the benefit of our customers.

The experiential learning element of the Program is complemented by a series of modules covering the different aspects of Test & Evaluation, applicable for both online learning and in-person coaching. The modules will support in equipping participants with the skills and knowledge they need to run live T&E trials and exercises on behalf of our customers.

The Test & Evaluation Sovereign Skills Program is a strong representation of QinetiQ’s long-term strategic growth, and how we aim to maintain our global leading position in Test & Evaluation to protect our customers’ interests across the globe. The Program also demonstrates how we are investing in individuals’ long-term career growth. Specialist training and mentorship from global experts will equip individuals with the technical, behavioural and leadership competencies for the future leadership roles within our global Test & Evaluation teams.

Our 2022/23 cohort from Australia is the first to join QinetiQ’s strategic Test & Evaluation Sovereign Skills Program. Looking ahead, we will fulfil the strategic intent by rolling out the Program more widely and globally. In so doing, we aim to ensure more employees and key customers benefit from our investment in the continued strengthening and evolution of QinetiQ’s Test and Evaluation capability.
