International Batteries Day
Today, 18 February, we celebrate International Batteries Day. How often do you pay attention to the batteries in your life?
This marks a day to celebrate the fantastic work of scientists and engineers that has meant we can happily carry around phones, torches, and be carried around by electric vehicles.
Our QinetiQ Power Sources team spans cell design, abuse testing and integration for customers who cannot rely solely on off-the-shelf options. We are approaching the end of an Innovate UK programme to develop ultra high power battery cells and are looking forward to demonstrating these later this year.
