Robotics and Autonomous Systems Campaign update

Robotics and Autonomous Systems (RAS) Global Campaign is the newest of QinetiQ’s Global Campaigns, however it’s already realising its potential – with “global” being the operative word.

In the last month, QinetiQ’s Robotics and Autonomous Systems (RAS) team attended the Association of the United States Army (AUSA) Annual Meeting and Exposition in Washington DC, in what proved to be a fantastic opportunity to showcase our capabilities, share our purpose and discuss innovation with some of the industries' best.

It was also an opportunity for RAS colleagues from Australia, the USA and UK to catch up and meet in person - and gather for a photo in front of the Robotic Command Vehicle – Light (RCV-L):

A fortnight later, the RAS Campaign team hosted a visitation from Republic of Korea at QinetiQ's Farnborough site. Attendees from the Agency for Defense Development (ADD) and Hanwha Systems were introduced to QinetiQ and the RAS Global Campaign.

We explained our RAS ambitions and shared our understanding and implementation of Unmanned Expeditery Vehicle (UxV) control standards as well as demonstrated our QUASAR and Northstar offerings.

Both ADD and Hanwha recognised we are far ahead of them in understanding and implementing uncrewed system command and control systems and how we are continuing to drive innovation, essentially getting even further ahead.  Our offerings across the lifecycle, from prototyping, research and experimentation through to qualified products was particularly impressive and demonstrated how we are able to meet current and future user needs.
