QinetiQ provides specialist technology in the following areas:
- PNT Receiver – Our Q40 (PNT) Receiver product range provides resilient, high-assurance positioning, navigation and timing for mission-critical applications in challenged environments. In addition to this, QinetiQ undertakes S&T on Alternative (non-satellite based) PNT solutions.
- Free Space Optics (FSO) – Based on our Software Defined Laser, we are at the forefront of optical sensing (Synthetic Aperture Lidar for long range, high resolution imaging and other ISR/SDA sensing functions) and optical communications, including our Transportable Optical Ground Station (OGS).
- Space Weather Modelling Tool – Through years of S&T, we’ve developed real-time modelling of ionospherics that allows predicted effects on satellite services to be forecast.
