MTEQ and UVA – Partners in Research
19/12/2018
Charlottesville, VA – MTEQ kicks off their new machine learning IR&D initiative and research partnership at the University of Virginia’s Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering.
MTEQ will fund Professor Nikolaos Sidiropoulos and his research team to develop modernizations to current hyperspectral data target detection algorithms through the fusion of a machine learning model that will increase target detection confidence, reduce false alarms and reduce overall computation demand lowering weight and power requirements during real time on-board aircraft target detection processing. MTEQ is excited about this new partnership with this and future efforts that will augment MTEQ’s Advanced Analytics Team in pursuits to improve the state-of-the-art in areas such as automatic target recognition, big data analytics, and augmented reality.
