QinetiQ’s stand at DSEI 2017 will provide an opportunity to discuss progress on the company’s strategy to modernise UK test and evaluation capability, invest in innovation, and achieve global growth.
At the stand, S2-550, visitors can discover how the company helps its customers to achieve proven operational and competitive advantage in the face of rapidly evolving threats. Experts will be on hand to share examples across five themes: Autonomy & Robotics, Disruptive Technologies, Security, Test & Evaluation, and Training & Rehearsal.
In the Autonomy & Robotics area, guests can learn how QinetiQ enables unmanned systems to collaborate with each other and manned systems across air, land and sea. The display will include a 900kg Titan Sentry robot a Talon V counter-IED robot.
The Disruptive Technologies zone features cutting edge innovations that promise to have a major impact on future capability. These include electric drive systems for vehicles, protective composite materials for aircraft fuselages, and laser weapons.
The Security section showcases technology that helps customers defend territory, protect infrastructure, or communicate securely. Highlights include the ASX communications intelligence system, SPO-NX crowd security scanner, and Bracer encrypted communications handset.
QinetiQ is investing to modernise Test & Evaluation services that are critical to procurement and through-life support of military platforms and weapons systems. Among the items on display in this area will be the Banshee Jet 110 aerial target and Hammerhead marine surface target.
The Training & Rehearsal section demonstrates how QinetiQ trains people in a mix of virtual worlds and real-life settings to increase operational performance at a reduced cost. Visitors can experience a live virtual reality training scenario in which they take control of a submarine.
