Rear Admiral Raydon Gates appointed to QinetiQ Australia Pty Board

QinetiQ Group plc, a science and engineering company that operates primarily in the defence, security and aerospace markets and is listed on the London Stock Exchange, today announced its acquisition of RubiKon Group, a leading Australian integrated logistics support provider. The company will become a wholly-owned subsidiary within QinetiQ Australia Pty.

Former Chief Executive of Lockheed Martin Australia & New Zealand, Rear Admiral Raydon Gates, Officer of the Order of Australia (AO) Conspicuous Service Medal (CSM) Royal Australian Navy (Retd) has been appointed to the QinetiQ Australia Pty Board.

In a distinguished Defence career that spans more than four decades, Rear Admiral Gates served in the Royal Australian Navy for 37 years. During this time he held a number of flag officer (2 star) appointments including the inaugural Commander of the Australian Defence College, Maritime Commander Australia, and Defence Attaché and Head Australian Defence Staff (Washington DC).

Retiring as a Rear Admiral in 2008, he joined the defence industry holding a number of influential positions that culminated in his most recent appointment leading Lockheed Martin Australia & New Zealand.

QinetiQ Australia Pty today announced that Rear Admiral Gates will join the Board as Non-Executive Director.
